I was in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan this weekend. A place of real beauty and endless acres of woods and wild forests. The Upper Peninsula (the U.P.) is my favorite place to go and get away from the noisy city, crowded streets and the stresses in life. To me it is like a pieces of heaven.
Having been born and raised in Michigan, I was blessed that my grandparents had a large farm in the U.P. They owned 1,000 acres of land in the middle of the woods. I have such fond memories of going to my grandparents farm ever since I was a baby. I always felt safe when at my grandparents farm. I now relate feeling safe with being in the U.P. That is why it is always so de-stressing for me to be in the quiet beauty of the U.P. I have so many memories and experiences that I could share about my time spent in my favorite place, the U.P. but I will save them for another time. For now I wanted to share how healing it can be for our bodies to get outdoors and be with nature.
Ever wonder why you feel better after being out in nature? It could be a simple as going out for a walk in a park, sitting in the sun, or even longer by going camping in the woods. Our bodies are energetically connected to nature. Our ancestors lived very close to nature. They knew the connection. For the most part, we have lost that knowledge. But it is as close as your intuition to find it again.
Yes, intuitively our bodies are craving the feel of nature.
Trees have the ability to change carbon dioxide into oxygen. Without them we would not exist. Trees have the ability to turn negative energy into positive energy. For more info about trees healing energy: https://consciousreminder.com/2018/05/13/amazing-tree-energy-how-trees-help-us-heal/
Intuitively when in nature the trees call to me. I often stop and just put my hand on a tree and I can feel the energy and if I get quiet and listen they talk to me. Yes, I can hear them. Usually my conversations goes as follows. Me: “Thank you so much you magnificent tree for being here. You are so beautiful.” The tree usually responds with a knowing sentence that I need to hear at the time. In the past I have been amazed at how accurate the trees messages have been for me. This last weekend I got the answer to a question I had been thinking about and it will take some time to see if it works out (the answer I received from the tree). When I receive the message or answer, I always ask three times to verify. After you have been doing this for years, by the third time you ask the message is usually yelled at you…. (in a good way) to verify it for you.
I hope this is not too far fetched for those reading this post. Please be open minded to know that all or nature has messages for you. It may come from the trees like it does for me, or maybe your messages will come from another source in nature.

Going out in nature can also take you away from the stresses in your life. Stress is harmful to our health. It can be one of the worse things that we put our bodies through. (If you have not read my post, A Bucket Full of Stress, please read it for more about stress.) When you go out into nature, turn off your phone and get off social media! That in itself will reduce your stress. While outside in nature, take a deep breath! Breath in that wonderful fresh air! It is good for your lungs, heart, respiratory system, your brain and your overall state of mind. While outside, do some Yoga outside, maybe some Tai Chi, take your shoes off (weather permitting) and out your feet in the grass. Or maybe just sit and be still and meditate for a bit. All of these things are great for your health.
Go outside and love nature!
