Beautiful thoughts and pictures. Just found your substack via comments on CHD. I love living in Michigan. I am a transplant from PA some 38 years ago. The beauty of our state never gets old. Will look forward to reading more from you and seeing the beautiful photos. Thanks, MelThor

Thank you, Valerie! I could feel the peace as I read along and savored the photos. We live in the PNW and all summer I am able to pick wild Salmon Berries, then wild Thimbleberries, and finally wild Blackberries, while I walk my dog in our rural area. What joy. So glad you had a wonderful vacation. I wish one and all could experience that kind of healing at least once a year.

Thanks for your comment. I also have picked wild blackberries in the U.P. Usually closer to Labor Day. I have not had salmon berries yet. I do not think they grow in Michigan.
